After more than 40 years in the bus industry Steve Challis is retiring from the position of Managing Director, Konectbus at the end of March.

Steve Challis, KonectbusSteve formed Konectbus in August 1999 with his wife Mags and fellow directors Julian Patterson and Andrew Warnes having held a number of positions with First Eastern Counties and its predecessor companies. The company quickly established a reputation for quality and was sold to Go-Ahead in March 2010.

Steve will be succeeded as Managing Director by Julian Patterson who moves from the position of Operations & Commercial Director.

David Brown, Go-Ahead Group Chief Executive said: “Konectbus is renowned for its focus on providing a high quality service, scoring an impressive 97% customer satisfaction rating in the independent Passenger Focus Survey for the second year in succession. I would like to thank Steve for his hard work and commitment and wish him well for the future.”
