The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has announced that it has taken a leap forward in enhancing the accessibility of its services by integrating its ticketing system into the ‘One Delhi’ mobile application. This move aims to provide commuters with a seamless and integrated platform for planning uninterrupted journeys that combine both the Delhi Metro and city bus services.

The ‘One Delhi’ app has expanded its scope to include digital QR tickets for Delhi Metro, offering commuters a comprehensive platform for streamlined travel arrangements. Currently utilised for generating QR tickets for DTC buses, the app now serves as a one-stop solution for both bus and metro ticketing.

DMRC has been proactive in adopting digital ticketing solutions, with around 120,000 digital QR tickets sold daily through various channels such as DMRC Saarthi app, Whatsapp, Paytm, DMRC Travel app, Phonepe and Ridlr (for Airport Express Line only). The collaboration with the ‘One Delhi’ app will add another channel for issuing Delhi Metro tickets, offering commuters the convenience of using a single app for all their transportation needs.

In-Depth Focus: E-Mobility

The ‘One Delhi’ app, with approximately 300,000 active users and 150,000 daily ticket sales for DTC buses, will now cater to Delhi Metro travellers as well. This strategic partnership is poised to make commuting on the Delhi Metro even more convenient, providing passengers with a unified solution for their transportation requirements.

One of the app’s standout features is its integrated trip planning functionality. Users can input their starting point and destination, and the ‘One Delhi’ Mobile App will generate a comprehensive itinerary that seamlessly combines both bus and metro services. This feature eliminates the hassle of switching between multiple apps or consulting different sources for schedules, offering a holistic approach to trip planning.

The integration of DMRC‘s ticketing services into the ‘One Delhi’ app is a significant milestone for Delhi’s urban transport system, aligning with the city’s vision for a more interconnected and efficient public transportation network.
