Stagecoach Manchester has announced plans to hire over 100 new bus drivers to join its team at the Oldham depot, as part of the ongoing efforts to support the community following the second phase launch of the Bee Network in March 2024.

The recruitment drive includes a diverse range of roles, catering to individuals with varying levels of experience – from those new to the industry to fully qualified bus drivers. This initiative opens up opportunities for anyone seeking a rewarding career shift.

Successful candidates will undergo comprehensive training as part of the job package, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge. In addition to training, Stagecoach offers a range of benefits to its employees, such as 28 days of paid holiday, a competitive pension plan and complimentary Stagecoach bus travel for both the driver and a companion.

Trainees will receive payment during their training period, with potential earnings reaching up to £16 per hour after only 12 months of service, translating to an annual salary of £31,600 before factoring in overtime. Furthermore, drivers holding a PCV license may qualify for a £1,200 joining bonus on top of the hourly wage.

In addition to offering employment opportunities, this recruitment campaign aims to strengthen Stagecoach Manchester’s role in the region’s transportation network, fostering connectivity and community engagement.
